Emmy Award-winning actor Jeremy Piven is set to grace Aussie shores with his stand-up comedy show this winter in a nationwide tour.

After touring extensively throughout the US, the household name is bringing his comedic talents to Australia and New Zealand, showcasing a side of his repertoire that few actors have successfully transitioned into.

Piven, best known for his portrayal of fast-talking Hollywood agent Ari Gold in HBO’s Entourage – a role that earned him two Golden Globes and three Emmy Awards – has built an impressive career spanning television and film.

Beyond Entourage, Piven achieved significant success playing the title role in British/PBS television drama series Mr Selfridge, the semi-fictional story based on Harry Selfridge, founder of London’s famous department store.

His film career is equally impressive, with appearances in cult favourites like Grosse Pointe Blank, Singles, Very Bad Things, Old School, and Rock N Rolla, as well as blockbusters including Black Hawk Down, Heat and Serendipity.

Recently, Piven starred in Last Call opposite Oscar winner Bruce Dern and Orange is the New Black star Taryn Manning. His upcoming projects include American Night with Emile Hirsch and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, which will screen at the Venice Film Festival, and Legit Wiseguy directed by Roland Joffe.

The comedy tour kicks off in Auckland before heading to five Australian cities, with tickets going on sale Friday March 14 at 11am AEDT.
