Empire of the Sun announce Australian tour alongside new album Ask That God

The out-of-this-world dance pop duo will be stopping in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Empire of the Sun, Australia’s multi-platinum astral wizards of electro-pop, have announced their highly anticipated Ask That God Australian Tour for October and November.

The iconic duo, Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, will bring their kaleidoscopic live show to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, performing hits from their new album as well as classics that have defined their illustrious career.

  • Thursday 24 October – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
  • Saturday 26 October – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne
  • Tuesday 29 October – Riverstage, Brisbane
  •  Friday 1 November – Red Hill Auditorium, Perth

“Australia, we’re coming home. Empire cannot wait to see you all. Get ready, this is gonna be a wild ride as we embark on a journey unlike any other Empire has been on. New record, new show, new era, let’s go!” said Luke Steele, expressing the band’s excitement.

The tour coincides with the release of their fourth studio album, Ask That God, out on Friday 26 July. The album, their first in eight years, features the singles Changes and Music On The Radio, showcasing the duo’s signature blend of propulsive beats and hypnotic grooves.

Empire of the Sun has been a formidable presence in the music world since their debut album Walking On A Dream in 2008, which produced timeless hits like Walking On A Dream and We Are The People.

Their follow-up albums, Ice On The Dune and Two Vines, continued their success with tracks such as Alive, DNA, High And Low and Way To Go. Over the years, they’ve sold over 5.5 million albums and amassed 7.6 billion streams globally, solidifying their place as icons of the electronic music genre.

Fans can secure tickets during the Frontier Member presale, starting Tuesday 28 May at 12 noon local time. General tickets go on sale on Thursday 30 May from 1 pm local time.
