Iconic independent music label Elefant Traks celebrates 25 years and bids farewell, featuring The Herd, Hermitude, Horrorshow, Urthboy, Nardean, Joelistics, Jane Tyrrell, The Last Kinection, Ozi Batla, Jimblah and more.

After the loss of three young friends in three months, Kenny Sabir felt a sense of urgency in life and enlisted a handful of friends to create a mixtape of original music for a friend leaving overseas. Inspired by the process, the activism they were involved in, and changes to music technology, they created another compilation, forming the label Elefant Traks in 1998.

25 years later, Elefant Traks officially calls it a day, after releasing 1300 songs, almost 70 albums and 40 EPs from the likes of The Herd, Hermitude, Horrorshow, OKENYO, The Last Kinection, L-FRESH The LION, Urthboy, ANESU, and many more.

To celebrate the moment, join Elefant Traks as they head to Melbourne to bid farewell to a city that appreciates and understands the value of a vibrant independent music culture like few others.

Performing some of the biggest songs from the label’s catalogue in a gala-style show, Elefant Traks bring together artists like B Wise, Nardean, Jane Tyrrell, Joelistics, L-FRESH The LION, Jimblah as well as The Herd, Hermitude and Horrorshow for a cultural moment like none other.

Featuring a live backing band with visuals and electrifying production, this will be the last chance to experience a label-wide show.
