Heading to the Heide Museum this month is an intriguing display of Sidney Nolan’s works of Africa. As part of the admission price, attendees will experience a talk from renowned author Andrew Turley. It’s happening on May 14, check out some more info and grab your tickets here.

It’s been hitting some pretty premiere galleries all across the globe, like Brooklyn, Chicago and London, with Melbourne being the next spot on the list. South Asian Festival

Melbourne is a beautiful melting pot of different cultures, with every weekend seeing a cool event celebrating the many backgrounds of our population. The South Asian Festival is a celebration of their rich culture, with the festival including fireworks, food displays, music, and lots of fun. It’s a free event that’ll be happening at Birrarung Marr tomorrow.

This is Me

This is Me is a cool fashion adjacent event making its way to Collingwood Town Hall this month on May 21. It’s set to show the power of women in the world, and especially the diversity of women in fashion. Check out some more info about the event and book in your tickets here.

The Canvas Collective Exhibition

This is a cool event coming to Melburnians thanks to The Old Bar Gallery. It shines a light on our many amazing artists and the work they produce. Topping it off and keeping it very Melburnian, there’ll be live music alongside the artwork too! It’s happening at The Old Bar in Fitzroy, check out more info about it all here.

African Festival

 

The African Festival is one of Melbourne’s most popular events, transforming the Queen Vic market into an amazing space. There’ll be food, music, dancing, and a whole lot more when it hits the market Saturday the 28 and Sunday the 29 May. Check out more info about it all here.

Art Bus Tour

Love art but don’t know where to start? The Incinerator Gallery has the perfect thing for you. The event involves travelling to a bunch of iconic galleries via bus, and you get to experience a talk at each, learning more about the art and artists. It’s happening on Saturday May 21, and at the time of writing there’s only five tickets left, so get in fast here.
