Easy Life announce first ever Australian tour

Easy Life Australian tour

Easy Life have announced their first Australian tour with two dates in Melbourne and Sydney.

UK indie-pop quintet Easy Life have just announced their first ever Australian shows this August to celebrate the impending release of their new album MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE that’s dropping on August 12.

Easy Life first came to the attention of Australian airwaves with the release of their debut album life’s a beach in 2021, which was named triple j feature album and lauded by the station for its “deeply personal and observational storytelling in a warm, woozy, sun drenched sonic blanket.”

What you need to know

  • Easy Life have just announced an Australian 2022 tour
  • Sydney: Thursday 25 August at Factory Theatre
  • Melbourne: Friday 26 August at The Night Cat

At home in the UK, the act would sell-out shows ranging from two nights at London’s O2 Brixton Academy to an arena show in their hometown of Leicester. A year later, the five-piece have dropped the brand new track ‘DEAR MISS HOLLOWAY’, which features Kevin Abstract – who also joins them at Glastonbury – and arrives alongside a claymation video directed by Will Child (Young Thug, Drake, 100 Gecs).

The single is the second to be lifted from easy life’s upcoming album MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE, with influences ranging from the manic hip-hop energy of Odd Future to a visual palette inspired by classic Disney animation and Wes Anderson. First single ‘BEESWAX’, for instance, is a deadpan paean about oversharing online, the need for privacy post-pandemic, and establishing boundaries.
