On the back of releasing her latest single ‘Astrology (clothesline)’ late last month, Melbs bb will launch the track with a hometown show this Thursday night.
Drenched in synth and arresting vocals, ‘Astrology (clothesline)’ is a lush piece of indie pop that’s simultaneously liberating and a little melancholic. Bound to resonate with those who look to the stars for answers, the single was born from Erica Lilly’s – aka Melbs bb – newfound appreciation for astrology.
“I got really into astrology last year, and after digging into my chart, it just explained a lot – particularly about my love life,” says Melbs bb of the track. ” Stuff that I’ve talked about with my therapist was written in front of me on Co-Star. Anyway, I just felt really called out and needed to vent, so I wrote this song.”
She’ll bring the track to the stage this Thursday night with an intimate show at The Workers Club. With support from Nite Fruit and Lacuna, the single launch promises to be an eclectic, energetic affair.
