Double Shot Maggie are bringing their big-sound & high-energy take on traditional Irish standards and modern Celtic punk to The Retreat in Brunswick for a night of solid table-thumping, fast dancing shout-along tunes. They’re joined by Melbourne’s own Madigan’s Wake, who took out London Celtic Punk’s Album of the Year award in 2023, with their hard-hitting songs of people who fought for justice, freedom and a life of opportunity. This is going to be a banger of a night with Irish instruments played like they were never supposed to be, but in a very, very good way.
