She worked the bar and DJ work in various venues around Melbourne including the Standard in Fitzroy, The Public Bar in North Melbourne and The Old Bar in Fitzroy. She also did the lights at the Clock Tower Theatre and the Monash Theatre and previously at the Kingston Performing Arts Centre.
Colleagues remembered her as someone who was keen to learn and had a natural flair for the console. Among the social network postings was “RIP Beautiful soul; cheeky fun face who always brightened the day :).”
The Get Milk festival was held on a private property in Rochester, in country Victoria to between 300 and 400 people.
Police have charged John Alexander Forbes, 24, of Lake Bolac, with culpable driving, dangerous driving resulting in death, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render assistance, and driving under the influence of alcohol. He allegedly drove over her tent at 5.50 am and failed to stop. He faces Bendigo Magistrates Court today.
A nurse tried to revive her but she died before paramedics arrived.
A memorial will be held today (Friday January 31) at the beer garden of the Standard in Fitzroy at 3.30pm. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday in Adelaide, where she grew up.
