About Moo Brew

Moo Brew is the largest craft beer brewery in Tasmania, with a swag of awards to its name and a reputation for embracing the unconventional. It is owned by David Walsh, founder of Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art. Moo Brew began life in 2005 when David found a beer bottle he liked while travelling overseas, and decided he’d need to build a brewery to fill it. Nowadays, Moo Brew is helmed by Head Brewer Jack Viney and General Manager Lauren Sheppard.

About Mona

The Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), Australia’s largest private museum, was built by David Walsh to house his collection of ancient, modern and contemporary art. Open since 2011 in Hobart’s northern suburbs, Mona is David’s playground and experiment: we need art, he says, but for what? The museum uses custom-built technology, called the O, in place of wall labels. Mona is also home to several bars and restaurants, two wineries, a brewery, library, accommodation, festivals, music and events, a cemetery and tennis court.
