Cherry Rock coax legendary band to reunite for festival.

Cherry Rock, Melbourne’s only street rock ‘n roll festival, has named the first five bands to perform at its fifth annual party.

Spearheading the lineup is legendary alternative Aussie band, Died Pretty, who will be getting back together for a once-off exclusive gig. Soul screamer, Barrence Whitfield & The Savages (USA), will join local artists Electric Mary, Six Ft Hick and international breakthrough band, Stonefieldamongst three more soon-to-be-announced artists and a host of DJs from Cherry Bar at this year’s festival.

Says James Young, co-owner of Cherry Bar, about the festival, "Cherry is the greatest rock n roll bar in the world. And our annual CherryRock AC/DC Lane street rock n roll festival is the Jewell in our Crown. Basically it’s the best thing that happens in Melbourne all year. Me and 799 other people know this to be true."

CherryRock011 will take place on Sunday May 1 in AC/DC Lane and tix are available from Oztix.
