“We were excited to be invited to provide the live soundtrack to Earth during the Bangalow Film Festival in March 2024, and are thrilled to be bringing the show to Melbourne’s Brunswick Ballroom in September. Often it is from periods of the greatest challenges that the most significant and powerful art is created. Taking direction from Dostoevsky, we celebrate the human experience and the art that was influenced during these times of great human hardship. The music we have chosen comes from a place of respect. Songs can be captured, can be propagandized and can feed us complex emotions. We sing them for humanity and not for any state or political agenda,” Dustyesky shared.
Dustyesky gained national and international recognition after being featured on Russian news television and ABC’s Australian Story. Their live performances, including two sold-out shows at the Sydney Opera House in May 2021, have captivated audiences worldwide. Now, they return to the stage for a special performance that combines the power of cinema with their hauntingly beautiful music.
