Banhart will be joined by his band The Grogs to play songs from his latest album What Will Be Will Be as well as tracks from his back-catalogue, including Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, Cripple Crow, Nino Rojo and Rejoicing In The Hands.
Born in Texas, raised in Venezuela and relocated to California, Banhart is a multi-ethnic global hippie hipster often likened to Van Morrison and John Lennon. He’s one of the pioneers of ‘freak-folk’ and his shows are light-hearted, free and loose, with a whole lot of nature, beards and psychedlia involved.
Banhart has been described by the Guardian as “freak-folk’s irrepressible man-child” which is pretty rad.
He’ll be joined by Husky on his Australian tour this July.
