Dekmantel Melbourne: Techno festival drops first round of 2024 lineup

The world-renowned techno festival Dekmantel will be back for the first time since it's Melbourne debut eight years ago.

In an electrifying turn of events for techno enthusiasts in Melbourne, the cult-favourite Dutch techno festival, Dekmantel, is set to return to Australia with a four-day party running from March 28 to 31 2024. Known for pushing the boundaries of electronic music and curating cutting-edge lineups, Dekmantel has become a global beacon for techno heads.

The event was last in Melbourne in 2016, when it hosted an impressive lineup featuring Tale Of Us, Omar-S,  Mike Servito, San Proper, Anthony Naples and Vakula at the Caulfield Racecourse.

Dekmantel Melbourne Lineup 2024

In 2024, Dekmantel will held in various locations throughout Melbourne. The opening night showcase will take place at the Melbourne Recital Centre, where a program packed with electronic-ambient offerings will set the tone for the massive weekend ahead.

The lineup for March 28 at the Melbourne Recital Centre features Budawang sampling, field recording and dialect artist E Fishpool, American multi-instrumentalist Laraaji, underground dance artist Priori (live) and Chinese-Canadian electronic dance music producer Yu Su (live).

The festival will also be hosting a big outdoor bash at Footscray Park on March 30, running all day long. The lineup for that includes (in alphabetical order) Adriana, Batu, C.Frim, Call Super & Palm Trax, Carista, Casper Tielrooij,  Claire Morgan, Dameeeela, Djrum, Gavsborg (Equinoxx), Kate Miller, Kia & Priori, Lauren Handsom & Gee Dee, DJ Nobu, Peter Van Hoesen (live), DJ PGZ & Yikes, Pjenné, Sleep D (live) and Stev Zar.

Later that night, Dekmantel will head to Sub Club to bump the beats into the early morning. On March 31, Miscellania will host the grand finale. More announcements, including the after-party lineups, are set to be made soon, so keep a keen eye on the Dekmantel socials to stay up to date.
