Born in Papua New Guinea, raised in Sydney, soul man David Sharp has been formulating his style for over a decade. Playing regular gigs on the Sydney circuit to touring orchestral renditions of Dr Dre and Daft Punk as a hired gun, Sharpy has now undertaken a mission to make some of the funkiest music in the world. He released his debut single on the 9th of Nov, Let’s Start it. This rollercoaster disco track is influenced by two distinct worlds – the flamboyant New York dance floor of the 70s and the modern funkadelic production of Daft Punk and Tame Impala. Sharpys deep knowledge of music history, combined with his bombastic and unforgettable style have led him to become a genre bending taste maker, intent on tickling your ear drums.
