Hailing from the UK, Cymande is the iconic funk collective behind hits such as ‘Bra,’ ‘The Message,’ ‘Brothers On The Slide,’ and ‘Dove.’ These tracks introduced a revolutionary sound to the black British music scene in 1972, a sound deeply inspired by their Caribbean heritage and the rich tapestry of sounds, instruments, and textures of Black British music.

Described as “the most influential band you’ve never heard of” by The Big Issue, Cymande holds the distinction of being the first British group to headline the renowned Apollo Theatre in New York, share the stage with Al Green, and call the prestigious Blue Note their musical home. Their impact echoes through time, with their music sampled by legendary acts like De La Soul, The Fugees, Gang Starr, and many others. Their legacy thrives through a dedicated following of rare-record collectors, including the likes of Gilles Peterson, Mark Ronson, Queen Latifa, and Masta Ace.

Cymande’s music continues to captivate each new generation, making its presence felt through KCRW sessions, Bandcamp profiles, features in the Late Night Tales compilations, Dekmantel performances, a reissue by Partisan Records, and more recently, in the documentary “Getting It Back” premiered at SXSW. Cymande, throughout their existence, has always defied convention. Their Australian tour in 2024 is a must-see experience for music enthusiasts of all ages.

Pre-sale access will kick off on Thursday, 26th October at 11 am local time, followed by the general on-sale starting on Friday, 27th October at 11 am local time. Find out more here.
