What’s the band name and what do you do? My band now goes under my name Crystal Ignite. I’m the singer/songwriter/funder.
What do you reckon people will say you sound like? The love child of an orgy between Florence and The Machine, Rage Against the Machine, MichaelJackson, Adele and Killswitch.
What do you love about making music? Being able to turn emotions into sound and create something that inspires or heals or helpssomeone.
What do you hate about the music industry? The egos.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be? Kurt Cobain. I feel a deep connection to Kurt and his outlook on the world. I definitely relate to himin a lot of ways. He was such a phenomenal songwriter as well.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?
I don’t want to target anyone. What I will say is, I, like most people, am very much done with the plastic that exists in most of today’s pop. I absolutely despise the way women have been sexualized, it makes me sick.
What can a punter expect from your live show? Expect to see raw and authentic emotion and a live show with extreme high energy.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise? I just released my debut single under my solo name Everything You Break which features BenMoody (formerly of Evanesence) on guitar.
