A career in the notoriously cut-throat world of music that lasts over a decade is something to be marvelled at. One that lasts more than two is something very special indeed. Here we introduce the Cosmic Psychos from Melbourne and their newest album Glorious Basterds, twenty three years on from the release of their first.
Grab a beer, or perhaps a slab, sit back and get trashed. Now you’re in the right mindset for the Cosmic Psychos. They’ve drunk their way around the world for the last twenty something years and along the way produced some of the most influential punk music to come out of the Australia. With bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney and The Prodigy paying you homage, it’s a clue that you’ve done something right with your life. Now the trio returns with a new album, a new thirst and though dates are yet to be sorted, a new tour.
Glorious Basterds is the new album, out through Missing Link on Friday April 1 and dates for some of Melbourne’s grungiest pubs will be sure to follow. Keep a cosmic eye out.
