Though the duo’s debut album Iconography was only released last year, Die Young was written close behind their first release, the with “the naive, vulnerable yearning at the heart of adolescent experience” in mind.
Accompanying the album will be a short film of the same name, which “follows a narrative of teen ghosts caught in a limbo, watching in on the preserved artefacts of their former lives.” The film was made by Paris-based visual artist Michael Salerno, who travelled to Sweden to “photograph and video River Phoenix lookalikes in a freezing forest.”
