Childish Gambino succumbs to the pressure and adds a second show in Sydney

In case you’ve been pulling a Patrick and have been living under a rock, let me catch you up to speed real quick; Childish Gambino, AKA Donald Glover, is a rapper/writer/producer/director/actor/comedian who shot to the highest ranks of fame and respect with his 2018 release, ‘This Is America’. This single precedes the release of Gambino’s highly anticipated fourth album, which is rumoured to also be his last.

The past few years have been an absolute ride for Gambino; having been named by Time Magazine as one of 2017’s 100 Most Influential People, his ‘This Is America’ video dropped during his Saturday Night Live performance of the same song – the video amassed 85.3 million views in the first week, and is currently polling at a cool 291 million. He was nominated for five awards at the 2018 Grammys, and Glover is the mastermind behind – and star of – the cult hit TV show, Atlanta.

Gambino has made many a trip Down Under, having fronted festivals and sideshows as part of Falls Festival in 2016, Splendour in the Grass in 2014, and now 2018’s PHAROS in New Zealand.

Now that we’ve covered all that, consider this: this artistic genius, this gem of light and talent, this beacon of hope in an otherwise horrific era of society is coming to Australia and doing two headline shows in November. In other words, get in there and get in there fast – you do NOT want to miss this man’s dance moves in the flesh.
