It’s a new era for the famous rock’n’roll haunt.
After months of uncertainty surrounding the future of Cherry Bar, the beloved Melbourne venue has finally revealed its new post-AC/DC Lane address.
As it turns out, the rock’n’roll institution isn’t moving far. Less than 500 metres from its former home, Cherry Bar will soon take over 68 Little Collins Street.
Much like its former address, the new space holds strong history as part of Melbourne’s music scene, once housing Pony before becoming Boney – the latter of which announced its plans to close just last month.
Cherry Bar will be closed for three weeks while it undergoes renovations, with plans to open in December. With a seven day, 24-hour license to play with, Cherry Bar will soon return to the relentless party venue we all know and love.
Here’s to the next chapter of Cherry Bar.
