Chapel Off Chapel Announce Summer Sessions

Across two weeks Chapel Summer Sessions will present six intimate performances, featuring a diverse array of artists including up and coming talent as well as members of some of the country’s biggest bands from the last 25 years.

The Sessions will open with a one-off, intimate evening featuring Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton and Shihad’s Jon Toogood. Blues musician Ash Grunwald will also host a session playing tunes from his recently released record, while Best Female Artist ARIA award nominee and multi-instrumentalist Abbe May will present songs from her forthcoming sixth studio album.

Also featured in the series will be Central Coast folk star Nathan Hawes, who is embarking on his first Australian tour from November, and Melbourne R&B songstress Thando Sikwila, who will be bringing her seven-piece band along for the night.

Fresh from road tripping up and down the east coast, up and comers Woodlock will close out the series. From busking on Melbourne’s most famous corners to packing out venues around the country, Woodlock have definitely clocked up the miles.
