Taking place on Saturday June 4, ‘Songs in the Key of Springfield’ is coming to Bar Open for a night of nerdy, sing-along fun.

Grab a Duff Beer and warm up your vocal chords for an evening of Simpsons-eque fun, because Songs in the Key of Springfield is coming back to Melbourne for one night only at Bar Open this weekend. A highly interactive and nostalgic live performance, the cult classic show Songs in the Key of Springfield features every song from the golden age of The Simpsons performed live by guitarist and singer Boadz.

A must-see for hard-core fans, the evening features unforgettable Simpsons musical moments such as ‘See My Vest’, ‘Monorail’, ‘Who Needs The Kwik-E-Mart?’, ‘Can I Borrow A Feeling’, ‘Canyonaro’, ‘We Put The Spring in Springfield’ and literally every other song from the golden age of The Simpsons performed on Saturday night (and, yes, that includes ‘Classical Gas’).

This is a night of pure silly fun, with great people, lots of laughs, and a lot of songs that you didn’t realise you still know every word to.

Dale “Boadz” Boaden is a Melbourne based guitarist and singer, best known for Songs in The Key of Springfield. He has studied Jazz at WAAPA, worked as a freelance guitarist in various jazz ensembles, performed the full recorded works of Robert Johnson, released an original album of instrumental solo guitar works, and currently makes a living playing cover gigs around Melbourne.
