Cassells

— We’d like to acknowledge the original custodians of the land in which this event will be held on—the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Always was, always will be. —

Cassells is the musical moniker of Jordan James Cassells—an introspective artist whose work has been described by those close to him as a journey through sincerity. Hailing from the wintry streets of Ballarat, VIC, Cassells crafts a sound rooted in the textures of alt-rock and indie-folk. His distinctive baritone voice and poetic lyricism invite listeners into a world of poignant reflection, where weighty moral themes are often softened by glimmers of dry humor and light-hearted charm.

Cassells invites you to step into this world live, as he takes the stage for his first little independent solo tour—celebrating the release of his newest single, ‘Sirens Don’t Sound the Same’ with dear friends Clover Blue and Felix Worner.

Clover Blue is a First Nations artist, playing slightly harrowing alt-folk, grounded in abstracted poetics and supported by a classical guitar fit for a child. Drawing upon the lineages of tender-hearted and soft handed troubadours, Clover Blue presents introspective, and intense folk-ish songs to spin life-based narratives through abstract lenses.

Felix Worner is an alt-country singer-songwriter from Tāmaki Makaurau, now living in Naarm. Worner’s songs evoke a strange romantic sadness, underscored by his baritone voice and nostalgia-laden melodies that linger like a cheap perfume. The result is a solemn, poignant, but woodsy sound.
