The two-time JUNO Award winner has captivated audiences around the globe with her distinctive voice and inspired songwriting. Moody’s previous solo releases, The Garden and These Wilder Things, received widespread acclaim from both fans and critics.
Her collaboration with Mark Knopfler on These Wilder Things and his albums Privateering and Tracker expanded her audience worldwide, culminating in performances at legendary venues like The Royal Albert Hall, where she appeared both as support act and guest performer with Knopfler’s band.
After riding this wave of international success, Moody took time away from the spotlight in 2016 to start a family – an experience that has deeply informed her latest work.
Wanderer explores the emotional journey of motherhood, navigating life’s joys and sorrows, the complexities of love, and the universal longing for home. The album represents a poignant chronicle of Moody’s life over the past decade.
Supporting Moody on the night is rising star Gabby Steel from South West Victoria. Steel has built a solid reputation on the Australian festival circuit, with performances at Port Fairy Folk Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival. Her soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, blending elements of soul, pop and blues, have seen her share stages with Australian artists including Owen Campbell, Tex Perkins, Karen Lee Andrews and Kate Ceberano.
