After seven years together, Camp Cope have called it quits.

Ahead of their performance on March 11 at Brunswick Music Festival, staples of the Melbourne indie/emo rock scene Camp Cope have announced on social media that it will mark their final ever gig.

Made up of vocalist Georgia Maq, bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and drummer Sarah “Thomo” Thompson, they announced the shock news on their Instagram by updating their bio to “power emo throuple, 2015-2023” and posting a story with the caption “RIP CAMP COPE 2016-2023”.

Upon sharing the gig on their Facebook, Camp Cope announced their breakup: “this is a special one – our LAST EVER Naarm/Melbourne show at Brunswick Music Festival with the incredible Barkaa can’t think of a more fitting farewell.” The band members took to Twitter to confirm the news.
