Since 2004, Theatre Works has been an important part of the independent Arts Community, providing support through successful events like Selected Works and In The Works.
We all enjoy the big shows like Mary Poppins, but sadly, independent musical theatre struggles to get off the ground in Australia. Musical Works is attempting to rectify this and they are starting to have some success.
Artistic Director of Magnormos, Aaron Joyner recently came on board with Musical Works and the two companies are striving for an Australia where the independent musical really does get a fair go.
