Nerve's hard techno and hard bounce night is turning things up a notch this week, and it's all thanks to one very jet-lagged headliner.
Nerve’s weekly hard techno and hard bounce night at Brown Alley, welcomes Berlin-linked selector Burjoe as headliner this Friday.
Burjoe’s productions have found a home on Polyamor Berlin, and the DJ has shared decks with names like VTSS, Somewhen and Cloudy across European dancefloors.
Performances at festivals including Dreamstate and Teletech point to an artist whose reach keeps extending well beyond the club circuit, and Friday’s Nerve slot lands right in the middle of that upward trajectory.

Support on the night comes from JUJU222, whose new single Lose Control just landed via Polyamor, marking an early production credential worth keeping an eye on.
Rounding out the lineup is Panic b2b Kerf — Panic a graduate of the BTV program, and Kerf already locked in for an A3 Festival slot later this year.
Brown Alley’s set-up gives the night room to breathe, with two rooms plus an outdoor rooftop area meaning there’s always somewhere to duck out to if the main room gets a bit much.
The state-of-the-art sound system in the DNB room is built to do Burjoe’s productions justice, while the rooftop offers a cooler pace for anyone wanting a breather between sets.
Drinks are kept casual too, with $6 Carltons, $12 vodkas and $12 basics running all night, plus a before-midnight run of $10 agwa, alize, fireball, sheep dog and jäger for anyone keen to get amongst it early.
With a lineup pulling from Berlin’s export scene, Melbourne’s underground circuit and a couple of local names on the way up, Nerve’s latest edition looks set to be one of the bigger nights on Brown Alley’s calendar in a while.
Doors open at 10pm and it’s an 18+ event, so get in early if queuing isn’t your thing.
