Bridge Road Brewers – A Bar Made of Cardboard puts sustainability first, with a pop-up venue that can be entirely recycled
Redefining the idea of a pop-up bar, Bridge Road Brewers – A Bar Made of Cardboard is (as advertised) made entirely of cardboard. Every table and chair, the light fittings, the shelving and signage is made from 100% cardboard and is designed to be reused, recycled or composted. Opening this Friday, and with the cardboard itself being made up of 75% recycled content at the minimum, Bridge Road Brewers has put sustainability at the forefront of their temporary bar project.

This ambitious project has been built in collaboration with creative cardboard designers, Boxwars and industrial packaging specialists, Kebert Packaging, with the cardboard carefully crafted to endure the expected business of a craft brew bar. With the menu featuring Bridge Road Brewers’ fill line up of core and seasonal beers across six taps and a wine list specially curated to showcase small Victorian wine producers, this temporary pop-up is not one to miss. If you’re feeling peckish, food trucks will be parked alongside the venue on Friday and Saturday nights. You can even take home Bridge Road Brewers beer, or a selection of Victorian wine and spirits, from the onsite bottle shop.

This space will be the site of a more permanent structure for Bridge Road Brewers, as they’re opening their second brewery here in December 2022 – a 350 person capacity venue which will be home to a 1000-litre brewkit.
