Ahead of their Australian appearance to hit up Listen Out festival, American hip hop group Brockhampton have removed founding member Ameer Vann following allegations of sexual abuse.

“Ameer is no longer in BROCKHAMPTON,” said the group. “We were lied to, and we’re sorry for not speaking up sooner.

“We do not tolerate abuse of any kind.”

Taking to Boston Calling festival on the weekend, Brockhampton took the stage in silence during Vann’s verses.

Vann was accused by multiple women of sexual abuse this month, including have sexual relations with minors. Vann denies these allegations, although admits to being “selfish, childish, and unkind”.

Brockhampton is still confirmed to play Listen Out festival in September.
