Love LEGO®?

Then you’ll love Brickvention, the two-day event that brings together LEGO® fans of all ages and from all over the country to view original and unusual LEGO® creations.

This Australian-based convention will be held over the weekend of January 15-16.

Saturday January 15 is devoted to adult fans, and features competitions, games and activities involving LEGO®, and Sunday January 16 is the Public Open Day part of Brickvention where anyone can go along and view the amazing creations made out of LEGO®.

Now running for five years, this annual event has fast grown into a large convention with attendees from almost every state and territory of Australia, and many thousands of excited, visiting children on its open day.

As a fan event, the models and designs seen at Brickvention are predominantly creations of the individual attendees. Each year fans from around Australia bring along their own LEGO® models to display to other fans and the public.

With close to a million bricks on display including spaceships, trains, large sculptures and all other manner of LEGO® designs, there truly is something for everyone.

Check out the Public Open Day on Sunday January 16, at Melbourne Town Hall, corner of Swanston and Collins Streets, from 10am til 5pm.

You can see award-winning LEGO® fan displays, run trains around a mini track, build your own creations, watch a Brikwars demonstration game, and purchase LEGO® sets and items.

Entry is $6 for adults, $3 for kids, and $15 for a family (two adults and two children).
