As promised Beat.com.au are proud to present to you an Exclusive Track from the Golden Era Records 2011 Mixtape.

The Track is Let it Burn By Briggs and mixed by Jaytee.

Briggs was signed to Hilltop Hoods Label – Golden Era Records after his debut EP Homemade Bombs made major waves in the Australian Hip Hop scene.

"It was obvious to everyone that this marked the arrival of a powerful and unique voice on the scene. His indigenous roots and his rural upbringing in the small country town of Shepparton gave him a perspective like no one else".

You can check Let it Burn on the homepage or here.

Trials from the Funkoars plays Host on the Mixtape, we decided to ask a few questions about the mixtape.

Did you want to tell me a little bit about the mixtape?

The only thing I could really liken it too would be extended, consensual, but unprotected sex with Pamela Anderson. 60 minutes of fantastic, wonderful danger.

I produced 4 of the new jams from upcoming projects on there including the ‘lunchroom table’ crew cut which is propping up our favourite eras, Easy Mo Bee’s to MC Rens and what not as well as ‘Discrete Charm Of The Bourgeois’ with Vesa and Mort, which is definitely the fritz in the sand which.

You’re listed as presenting the mixtape, does that mean that there will be a heap of little skits from you – tell us how that works?

Yeah basically I’ll explaining the plot as we go along, how we’re actually still on the plane, while in the van, but also in the snow, rhyming.

I find it extraordinarily hard to turn down opportunity to ramble controversial shit under the guise of ‘host’, so i’ll be escorting the listener through the journey and sounding the bell when its time to turn the page.

What can fans expect from the mixtape?

A little flash of the old stuff for those who don’t know, but primarily a really nice preview into what we will be unloading this year. Flashys bashed together a sneaky medley of 3 new Oars tunes to set the scene for our fourth full length and its the first release of new Vents stuff from his next one ‘marked for death’. Something for the friends to bump and remind them while we’re locked in our bunkers recording the next ones that the stimpaks and rad-away hasn’t worn off yet!!.
