Each with their own slew of IDs, dubplates and more, expect many a reload. With originals on Shall Not Fade and ec2a, and cosigns with Interplanetary Criminal, Joy Orbison and The Blessed Madonna, it’s all up from here.
Born out of a love of dub sound systems, Breaka’s signature sound weaves together prominent basslines with intricate and distinctive percussive rhythms, bringing together a varied palate of footwork, UK funky with nods to trance and jazz.
These influences are full display in both his stellar 2022 debut full length album out on his own Breaka Recordings and highlight DJ sets and curated parties like his 2021 Keep Hush effort featuring Interplanetary Criminal and Emerald.
Not to be outdone Bakey’s fresh take on the darker edge of garage and breaks has seen him also rise to prominence in the new UK scene through both original productions on labels like Shall Not Fade and ec2a and iconic DJ sets, including his ID laden 2022 Boiler Room set.
Already receiving cosigns from icons like Joy Orbison, Blessed Madonna and industry institutions like Mixmag, the only way is up for this Leeds-based talent.
