It’s hard to get past the irritating pulse that dominates the entirety of Heavenly Father, sounding like an offcut from the Flume LP sans any beat. Regardless, the track is low-tier Bon Iver, as if the garish instrumentation is only there to salvage what would otherwise be a complete fucking snooze-fest. Speaking of complete fucking snooze-fests, the track is lifted from Zach Braff’s sorta-sequel to Garden State.
