The Finally Tour marks Bobby Lee's first solo headline run after more than 30 years of stand-up.
Bobby Lee has announced a Melbourne date as part of his first-ever headline stand-up tour, The Finally Tour.
The American comedian, actor and podcaster will play the Plenary at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14 August. After more than 30 years of performing, Lee has never headlined a full-scale solo tour of his own — making the self-aware tour name feel less like branding and more like an admission. The US and Canada leg of the run kicks off on 24 April in Detroit, with the Melbourne show presented by TEG Dainty.
Lee co-hosts two of the biggest comedy podcasts going — Bad Friends with Andrew Santino and TigerBelly with Khalyla Kuhn. He spent eight seasons as a cast member on sketch comedy mainstay MADtv from 2001 to 2009, and has since racked up screen credits including Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Pineapple Express, The Dictator, Reservation Dogs, And Just Like That and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Melbourne audiences got a preview of Lee’s live energy when he brought the Bad Friends tour to the Plenary in November 2024 alongside Santino, also presented by TEG Dainty. This time he’s returning to the same room without a co-host.
His hour-long comedy special — also his first after three decades — is available on Hulu, with international availability via Disney+. The special was filmed at the Balboa Theater in Lee’s hometown of San Diego and was executive produced alongside Bill Burr.
Artist pre-sale tickets are available from 21 April at 9am AEST, running until 22 April at 9am. TEG Dainty and My Ticketek pre-sales follow from 22 April at 10am through to 23 April at 9am. General public tickets go on sale from 23 April at 10am AEST. There is a limit of eight tickets per transaction.
