Missy Higgins leads this wave of announcements, bringing her celebrated repertoire to the stage. Over her 20-year career, Higgins has delivered hits such as Scar, Ten Days, and The Special Two. Her 2024 album, The Second Act, revisits the confessional style of her debut, The Sound of White, and has been met with critical acclaim and sold-out shows. Her Bluesfest performance will feature both classic tracks and material from her latest work.

Adding a blues-rock edge to the lineup, George Thorogood & The Destroyers will perform hits like Bad to the Bone and One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer. Known for their electrifying live shows, Thorogood’s enduring appeal lies in his raw vocals and signature guitar riffs.

Rodrigo y Gabriela, the Grammy-winning guitar duo, bring their fusion of rock and classical influences to the Bluesfest stage. Having performed at major venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Glastonbury, the duo’s latest project, In Between Thoughts… A New World, incorporates orchestral elements, promising a dynamic and memorable set.

Singer-songwriter Nahko returns with music from his seventh album, Trenches. Known for blending intimate storytelling with diverse musical influences, Nahko’s performances create a sense of connection and community for his audiences.

BJ The Chicago Kid joins the lineup with his Grammy-nominated soul sound, blending gospel-inspired vocals with contemporary R&B. His collaborations with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper have cemented his reputation as a leading figure in modern soul.

Melody Angel will perform in an exclusive festival appearance. Known for her commanding vocals and Hendrix-inspired guitar work, Angel channels her Chicago Blues roots into high-energy performances. Her work has garnered attention through appearances like NPR’s Tiny Desk and critical praise for her dynamic stage presence.

Also featured is Don West, whose coastal soul has drawn comparisons to Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. With tracks such as Rather Be Lonely and Small Change, West offers a smooth and heartfelt addition to the Bluesfest program.
