Three different shows across three nights.
UK rabble-rouser Billy Bragg will be returning to Australia for his One Step Forward, Two Steps Back national tour. However, it’s a tour with a slight twist.
At each stop, Bragg will be performing over three nights, where each evening will offer something different. The first night’s show will feature songs spanning Bragg’s 35-year discography. The second night will showcase songs from his first three albums, Life’s a Riot with Spy Vs Spy, Brewing Up with Billy Bragg and Talking with the Taxman about Poetry. On the final night, Bragg will perform tracks from his second three records, Workers Playtime, Don’t Try This at Home and William Bloke.
Bragg deliberately chose to perform over three individual shows over three nights because flying in for one day and leaving the next simply isn’t enough.
“After more than three decades of travelling around the world in a van, or spending all day flying vast distances to play a gig, I’m looking forward to having some time to explore cities that I usually only get to see between the soundcheck and the show,” he said in a statement.
“This three-night stand format is a way of keeping things interesting, both for me and the audience.”
Tickets are available for single nights and all three nights, so be sure to clear your calendars for this marathon concert.
