Big Day Out Chooses Four Acts For Headspace Stage

They are grunge blues metal merchants Arcane Saints from Glenroy whose first album was recorded in Nashville after they attracted the attention of US producer Toby Wright, pop rockers Let’s Not Pretend from Bundoora who cite Fall Out Boy and Pink as influences, grungers Altitude from Geelong who released their debut EP this year, and hard rock/alters Audemia who formed in Clifton Springs three years ago.

Nearly 500 acts from around the country entered, says headspace. Over 25,000 votes created a shortlist of 50 bands. A panel of music industry heavyweights chose three winners, and the Triple M Music Jury selected the fourth winner.

The primary focus of headspace is the mental health and wellbeing of young Australians. headspace helps 12-25 year olds going through a tough time through a national network of 55 headspace centres (soon to be 100) and online and telephone counselling service eheadspace.
