Bendigo Groovin’ The Moo Bounces Back

Groovin’ the Moo Bendigo 2011 has sold out in record time despite a poor response after last year’s event.

Despite an array of complaints after last year’s event, Groovin’ the Moo Bendigo 2011 has sold out in record time.

Last year’s Groovin’ the Moo resulted in reports of three hour lines and poorly designed layouts leaving many festival-goers disappointed. However, as GTM enters its third year at Bendigo’s Prince of Wales Showgrounds it seems fans are willing to return, snapping up tickets in record time.

This may be due to the line-up which includes big names from home (Architecture in Helsinki, Art vs Science, Birds of Tokyo, Bliss n Eso, Cut Copy, Gotye, Washington) and abroad (AC Slater, Darwin Deez, The Drums, The Go! Team, UNKLE, The Wombats).

After last year’s response, Groovin’ the Moo promoter Stephen Halpin said he was determined to ensure that this year’s festival ran more smoothly than in 2010.

"It’s an amazing results to sell out so quickly and we really appreciate the support. It’s wonderful that everyone is so keen to come back to Bendigo with such enthusiasm," said Mr Halpin.

Groovin’ the Moo will begin its trip around Australia in Bendigo on Saturday April 30.
