Beers for Queers: there’s a free party happening in Collingwood this weekend

Beers for Queers

Taking place tomorrow at the Fox Hotel in Collingwood, the free queer party will feature live performers and a market.

Beers for Queers is back, baby. Held at The Fox every second month and featuring a queer market, DJs and performers from the afternoon all the way through the night, it promises to be a great night out. Featuring performances from comedian Sunanda, drag king Bruno Sasicce, as well as Shona and dance troupe The Real Hot Bitches, it’s the most fun you can have for free.

What you need to know

  • Everyone’s favourite free event, Beers for Queers is on again tomorrow
  • It’s an independently run queer event that happens at The Fox every second month
  • It features performances from Sunanda, Bruno Sasicce, Son and The Real Hot Bitches

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Performances start from 8pm and the dance floor will be kicking all the way up until 1am. Hosted by drag king and winner of the 2022 Drag-A-Thon Bruno Salsicce, a proud mummy’s boy with a Lynx scent that announce his presence before he does – OMG Becky!, DJ Shithouse, Grandmaster Flaps and DJ FRANFINE will be spinning tunes on the decks. Comedian Sunanda, known for their sold-out show at the Comedy Festival Sunanda Loves Britney, is also gracing the stage this Saturday.

As well as the aforementioned Bruno Salsicce and Sunanda; Shona and The Real Hot Bitches will be performing on the evening too. If you’re keen to shop, there’s also a Gay Stuff Markets pop-up!

With The Fox kitchen open from 1pm – 9:30pm, they’ll be serving up classic pub meals to keep you fuelled all evening. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of vegan and gluten free options on the menu too. There’s no bookings necessary for the party, but they’re encouraging bookings for tables if you want to sit down and have dinner with your mates.
