Welcome to Beats by Beat, our mix series for electronic music lovers. Head here if you missed the previous Beats by Beat mix, produced by mixing magician of many music ventures, Acid Chess Club.

GREETINGS, also known as Jackson Greatz, has been a Melbourne staple of the electronic music industry over the last decade, as well as a major export into Asian and European markets. He just returned from his tour through Asia last year, finding influence in the cities across the east.

GREETINGS is passionate about late-night house jams and the Italo disco that peaks a party. He embraces both the past and the future in his music development, picking from retro and forgotten treasures and incorporating them into his own individual sounds.

His new EP, written off the back of his tour of Asia, was created as a form of escapism to give feelings of joy, nostalgia, and overcoming pain and love. He embraces the past, while taking on the future with feel-good dance tracks.

Listen out for an exclusive premiere in this mix of his debut EP for Lobster Theremin coming out next week. ‘I Care About You’ is an ’80s inspired powerhouse track set to be a summer hit as it elevates you with uplifting keys, thumping bass lines and enticing vocals.

GREETINGS is also Co-Founder and Label Manager of Boots & Legs, a strictly vinyl imprint label inspired by the sounds of ’80s Italo-disco and synth-pop with a modernized and timeless sound.

Jackson frequents the festival circuit of Australia, delivering groovy sets for Strawberry Fields Festival, Under the Net Festival, Rabbit Hole Festival and has played on support duties for Octave One, DJ Bone, Gerd Janson, Joey Negro, Job Jobse, Tom Trago, DJ Boring and Black Loops.

Enjoy this very groovy mix and stay tuned until the end for an interview.
