Bar135 has officially opened in Club Yarraville. The bar contains a global collection of top-notch whiskies, beautifully crafted cocktails and single vineyard wines. The Yarraville Club is one of the few licensed inner-city venues able to serve until late during the week.

“The opening of Bar135 is part of our club’s ongoing commitment to be the natural choice for family, comedy and live entertainment in the inner west” says CEO Chris Byrne.

The bar hosts cocktail and comedy nights every second Thursday, with the next coming up on Thursday November 16. Entry for these nights is five dollars and includes seeing five up and coming stand-up comedians starting at 8.30pm. But if you arrive early the tapas menu is available from 5.30pm til 9pm in the adults only dining area. Comedians who have performed in the past include Dave Hughes, Michael Winslow and Aunty Doona.

To complement this vibrant entertainment scene, the bar hosts live music every Friday and Saturday night, continuing The Yarraville Club’s legacy as an iconic community hub in Melbourne since 1905.

“Thousands of comedy and live music lovers flock to Yarraville every month for our headline Yarraville Laughs and Yarraville Live shows,” says Byrne. “The upgrade of The Atrium into Bar135 now means more patrons can meet for pre-show drinks, or stay afterwards to the early hours of the morning.”

The Yarraville Club as a whole features a 250-seat family ala carte restaurant, Keno, Sports Lounge, TAB facilities and a 600-person function room. The cocktail and whiskey lounge Bar135 is the most recent of the Club’s refurbishments. Situated only eight kilometres from the city, Yarraville is growing quickly.
