BANJZIG and Grug double headline show @Gummo Friday 6th Dec.
BANJZIG blend the sound of the Pogues and Planxty, with Misfits, Maiden, Sabbath and Motörhead. They are the top Celtic-doom metal banjo band in the entire central Footscray area. Songs range from sean-nós songs circa 14th-century, songs about the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland in the 12th century, to modern classics from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Motörhead, Ozzy, Slayer, and Thin Lizzy.
Grug are Melbourne’s newest supergroup, fresh outta the greenhouse, set to leave you equally confused and aroused with songs like ‘Poo-Poo in my Shoe-Shoe’ and fired-up for a fat slug with ‘Get Rakk or Get Rekkkt’!
