Band of Horses release ‘Lights’ from upcoming album

Band of Horses

Band of Horses are back after a 5-year hiatus with new album 'Things Are Great' coming out March 4.

For those who can’t wait till then, you can listen to singles ‘In Need of Repair’ and ‘Crutch’ already as well as their latest single from the album ‘Lights’.

‘Lights’ is an energetic and poppy single that takes Band of Horses back to their roots. The single references an apparent “not too crazy” night out that lead singer and song writer Ben Bridwell spent with a movie producer he was working with at the time dodging security guards, followed by coming home to a broken-in house.

‘Lights’ signifying the torch lights of the chasing security guards and the police lights that followed when he made it home.

“More metaphorically, the song was meant to be a bit uplifting and I’m wishing for a better existence in a way,” says Bridwell.  “I’m getting over the things that had been going wrong in my life. The lights go on signifying it’s a better day kind of thing.”

‘Lights’ will be included on Band of Horses upcoming album and you can listen to it here now.
