Hot off the release of his latest single Blue Wildflowers in November, the enigmatic Rich Webb is set to release RIGHT! at the Union Hotel on December 10.
With previous release Le Rayon Vert being crowned Alt-Country Album of the Year at the 2019 Independent Music Awards, Rich Webb returns with his fifth album to date, RIGHT!
Named after his catchphrase when he wants to get something done, RIGHT! both diverts and takes inspiration from his previous repertoire. With the release of RIGHT!’s lead single Blue Wildflowers, the latest album promises a soaring journey through empathetic lyricism, irresistible guitars and jazzy arrangements.
Set to be released on December 9, Rich Webb is celebrating the album with a free show at the Union Hotel in Brunswick on December 10.

“In many ways it feels a long time coming, even though it hasn’t been that long really,” says Rich Webb. “It’s the anticipation I reckon – you put your whole self into making a record and from the moment the last note is locked in, can’t wait to get it out there. Time seems to go so very slow and then, finally, it’s a happening thing!”.
RIGHT! will be welcomed into the world with a free show at Union Hotel in Brunswick on December 10, where Rich Webb will play with a full band that includes Matt Dixon on guitar, Jim Carden on drums, Alics Gate-Eastley on bass with some additional special guests.
“The album launch will be the record, played like it was written – and with joy and energy of getting it all together,” Rich Webb says.

With the November release of Blue Wildflowers – a ballad that spans apologies and lost loves – Rich Webb has unveiled a music video alongside it, showcasing the beauty of Victoria’s landscape. “Blue Wildflowers is the third single from the new album RIGHT!, the lead track and I reckon the heart and soul of the record,” he reminisces.
“The idea was simple – a road trip into country Victoria for three days – and to film whatever we fancied along the way,” Rich Webb says on capturing the video. “Louis jumped in a hire car with me and a load of camera equipment, and my partner Emma and our two boys jumped in our car and we set off.”
“It ended up being the most amazing trip … I came back full of that positivity and just pleased we’d got out there for three days – it’s such a wonderfully beautiful and intense country we live in.”
