Each year AWME attracts national and international delegates and helps commercial opportunities for contemporary and traditional Indigenous, roots, folk and world music artists.

Music venues across Melbourne will host non-stop shows over the four days. AMWE have announced performances by Nashville’s deep-funk legends The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, reggae greats Katchafire, electronic dub masters Iration Steppas, the 30+ piece Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the powerful Iconic Songs featuring Archie Roach, Shane Howard and Neil Murray.

Also making an appearance will be the Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, British/Jamaican hip hop/ska revivalist Lotek, alt-acoustic folksters Skipping Girl Vinegar, We Don’t Dance For No Reason featuring sensational jazz talent Aaron Choulai with his ensemble VADA and the 16-voice Tatana Village Choir, The Stiff Gins and rising star Bobby Alu plus many more national and international acts soon to be announced.
