Aussie artists band together for ‘Drought Relief’ compilation album

Paul Kelly

In light of the devastating effects of the drought Australian farmers and rural communities are currently facing, Sony Music Entertainment Australia have devised a special two disk compilation album, titled Drought Relief, to raise money for those affected by the brutal conditions. A huge slab of Australian artists have donated their biggest hit tracks, royalty-free, to the album for the cause – with all profits to be donated to Rural Aid.

As Australians, we can be proud of our inherent values of mateship and lending a helping hand wherever possible. I encourage you to get behind this very worthy cause and help our rural communities suffering in this drought through the power of music,” says Denis Handlin AO, Chairman & CEO, Australia & New Zealand and President, Asia, Sony Music Entertainment and Founding Board Director, Sony Foundation Australia.

Drought Relief features a mammoth spread of Aussie artists, including John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite, Christine Anu, Jessica Mauboy, Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem, Paul Kelly, Midnight Oil and loads more. Not only is the album packed full of bangers, but you’ll get extra bang for your buck knowing that you’re supporting those in desperate need of aid.
