ARIA winners Teenage Dads are sneaking in one more headline show before the year ends

Words by staff writer

Teenage Dads bring their acclaimed indie-pop sound to Corner Hotel this December.

The kind of band that makes you feel like summer arrived early, Teenage Dads are rounding out 2025 with a freshly announced Corner Hotel headline show. The Mornington Peninsula four-piece have locked in 13 December for what’s shaping up to be one of the year’s final great indie moments in Richmond.

Teenage Dads have had a monster few years. The group took home the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award at the 2023 ARIAs after their EP Midnight Driving debuted at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. Since then, they’ve released their second studio album Majordomo in August 2024 and toured relentlessly across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally.

Formed back in 2015 by high school mates Jordan Finlay, Connor McLaughlin, Vincent Kinna and Angus Christie in Mount Eliza, the band have built a reputation for their self-produced indie-pop sound and electric live shows. They’ve supported Lime Cordiale, played Laneway Festival, and performed more than 94 shows across 10 countries in 2023 alone.

With this show having a super short window between announcement and tickets going on sale, you’ll want to move fast. The band’s blend of jangly guitars, synth elements and catchy melodies has earned them comparisons to The Strokes and Phoenix, and their live shows consistently deliver that kinetic energy their fans have come to expect.
