Award-winning composer and prolific performer Ania Reynolds offers an evening of sonic storytelling and visual projections at live performance hotspot Kew Court House.
A solo piano concert of original compositions, ‘Cinémusique’ is set to a bespoke visual score of animations. At once a celebration of piano and the moving image, the evening will traverse contemporary classical, jazz and Latin genres.
Lyrical and richly evocative compositions draw on Ania’s creative development time in Brazil and Cuba, which enriched her repertoire with son-montuno, choro and bossa nova.
Ania Reynolds’ artistic span and performance charisma is in demand in the South of France where she has held a residency over the 2024 European Summer.
Her return offers music lovers in Melbourne the distinctive live experience that has been described as a “stunning display of musicality” by critic Nicole Precel in the Sydney Morning Herald, 2019.
Seating is allocated theatre-style, The Arts Bar will be open from 7pm.
