A languid mess of killer guitar distortion, Parallels is a more than satisfying solo outing from Angie (Circle Pit, Southern Comfort, Ruined Fortune and Straight Arrows). It sinks into a K-hole of drone, only to be snapped out of it with an impulsive melodic turn in the chorus. In between the monotony of the percussion and the droning vocal lies some energised guitar licks.
