For three weeks, an open air Christmas market will light up Queen Vic Market

Christmas Market

Amp yourself up for the big day with some holiday cheer at the String Bean Alley Christmas Market.

Queen Victoria Market is embracing the festive season, hosting a slew of shops, Christmas carollers, fake snow, a giant gingerbread man and a visit from Santa at the String Bean Alley Christmas Night Market in the lead-up to the holiday, for three iterations on December 5, 12 and 19. There’ll be no shortage of gift ideas and stocking fillers too, so you can basically knock out your whole Christmas shopping slog in one hit.

Christmas Night Market

  • The String Bean Alley Christmas Market is lighting up the Queen Victoria Market this December
  • The market is a great place to pick up some locally-made trinkets for your friends and relatives this year
  • It runs on Monday nights for three weeks, on December 5, 12 and 19

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Pick up locally-made gifts, indulge in some delicious food from some of the city’s best food trucks and sip refreshing summer drinks as you stroll through the open-air laneway, making the most of the long summer evenings.

With delicious street food and drink from across the continent, Queen Victoria Market is a bastion of Melbourne’s local food and culture scene. Since it opened in 1878, Queen Victoria Market is known for their extensive festivals and activities, as well as for having fresh food available to purchase. Catch the train into Melbourne Central, then hop on the 19,57 or 59 trams to arrive at the market’s door.

Catch the market over the next couple of Monday nights; December 5, 12 and 19. Find out more by heading here.
